I am selling my loaded '01 Silver/Red/Black 6-speed convertible in order to buy an '02 yellow/oak/oak convertible from a collector. I am 64 years old and have owned many Corvettes, including several C6's; however, for comfort, features, interior quality, performance, transmission shifting, and good looks (realizing beauty is in the eye of the beholder), I prefer the C5. Speaking of looks: just how many Silver/Red convertibles are out there? If you want to see yourself on every street corner, get a black/black, a red/black, or a silver/grey; but, if you want a beautiful car that draws the attention it deserves, this is the one. The car is an unmolested original: I am not so presumptuous as to assume that I can improve on a Corvette by putting a "chip", different exhaust system, or any other so-called "improvement" on these wonderful cars. It is presently garaged at our winter home in sunny Sarasota, Florida.
