1996 Corvette Grand Sport Coupe $29,900
In 1996, Chevrolet built 190 Corvette Grand Sport Convertibles
and 810 Coupes in tribute to Zora Arkus-Duntovā€™s 1963 Corvette
Grand Sport Race Cars. These new cars featured the most
powerful production small block V8 in Corvette history (to that
point) - the LT4 rated at 330HP, but easily producing 360HP in
stock form. This was the only year for that special LT4
motor.
The 1996 Grand Sports feature a unique serial number sequence
and this car is one of two built (as certified by the Grand
Sport Registry) based on unique options like the red interior.
The fender mounted red hash marks pay tribute to markings used
to differentiate the original 1963 Corvette Grand Sport Race
Cars.
We have added chrome ZR1 wheels. The original black wheels
have been refinished and are boxed for the next owner.
Aside from Flowmaster exhaust, the car is mechanically in stock
form. We had the clearcoat professionally removed and
reapplied in order to enhance the beautiful Admiral Blue paint.
This Grand Sport won the 2019 Best Paint Award at the Oklahoma
City Corvette Club Annual Corvette Show and frequently wins Best
in C4 Class at the area Corvette events. 31,000 miles
since new. Window sticker, build sheet and 1996 brochure are
included.
