1980 Corvette L-42. 150k miles,
engine rebuilt around 125k miles about 5 years ago. 350 CU IN. Original Borg-Warner
4-Speed manual transmission; 2nd gear synchro is shot, probably should rebuild instead of
just replacing. Numbers matching car. Rear suspension rebuilt around 4 years ago and front
suspension rebuilt around 3.5 years ago. Alternator, Water Pump, Distributor, Plug Wires,
ignition coil, all less than 3 years old. I think the battery is around a year old.
Exhaust is less than 2 years old, 2 1/4" pipes all the way back through a pair of
Thrushes. Edelbrock dual-plane manifold, and Barry Grant Speed Demon 650cfm 4-Barrel, with
mechanical secondaries. Basically, it's a project car that runs well. It's got a noise
comming from the rear passenger side wheel area. The interior needs to be replaced, and it
needs paint and body work. There are some cracks, there's a split in the rear spoiler, a
crack at the rear bumper seam from the impact, thanks to some one backing a boat into it.
There is also some frame work that needs to be handled along the top of the windshield
(rust, and a hole). I've had the car for over six years now, and I no longer can afford to
hang on to it and keep dumping money into it. I'm either the 4th or 5th owner, the guy I
bought it from wasn't sure. I bought it as a fixer-up project car with my dad when I was
16, but now I've got debt to worry about and need the money; so it's time to part ways. I
can tell you almost everything there is to know about the car including ALL of its quirks.
Serious inquiries only. Call Evan @ 305-393-9972 for details. I'm living in Orlando
currently, the car is in the Keys. You can call Bob, my father, @ 305-664-9243 or
305-393-2840 to go see the car, as it's at home with him and he will be handling the sale,
should you want it.
I've invested over $12k in the car between initial purchase and repairs(unfortunately, not
restoration). I'm asking $5,800 or best offer. |
